Strangers can not find you with PMM search. There would be very little probability that you will suddenly receive link requests from strangers like in SNS services. Still, you want to confirm that the person you sent a link request to or received a link request from, is the same person as the person you actually know before disclosing your information.
In accepting link request or sending link request, Ripplex shows the information your frind knows about you to you. Similarly it shows the information you know about your friend to her or him. With this function, you and your friend can both confirm each other's real identity before establishing 1-1 Ripplex link.
For example, somebody who knows your cell phone number and 3 email addresses has a higher probability to be your friend than the one who knows only your email address (which may have been disclosed in blogs).
This confirmation system is called "Authentication". The current level of Authetication plus the fact that the user can use any reliable non-ripplex channel to confirm communication of a piece of information through the Ripplex channel makes Ripplex a much better internet tool for security against spoofing. Ripplex is planning to put more authetication features in the future.
