Setting Up a New Account
Account needs to be setup before starting to use Ripplex Address Book. Please start the account setup process by either double clicking the icon created by the installer on your desktop or by selecting [Start] > [All Programs] > [Ripplex] > [Ripplex Address Book].
You can either setup a new account or use existing account.
1) Account Wizard starts with the following window. Please click "Next".
2) Select "New Account" and click "Next".
Note) Click "Proxy Setting..." if you are using proxy server in your network and settings are necessary.
3) For each account, there needs to be a registered email address. Also, for each registered email address, there can be only one account. Please enter a valid email address twice (A) and then click "Next" (B). Please note that the email you entered is the one that would be registered with this account.
Note) The email address provided here will be asked for, in case if the password is forgotten for things like revoking account.
4) Please enter the PIN Code (A) sent to your email address and then click "Next" (B). If you are using some security software, the email might be treated as a junk mail.
5) Set a password for your account. This password, along with Ripplex ID that would be assigned to you shortly, is used to login to Ripplex services. Password should contain at least 6 or more alphabetical or numeric characters which you can remember easily. Please do not use the same password you use in Skype. Please enter the password twice (A). If you would like Ripplex Address Book to remember your password, please check the check box (B). Click "Next" (C).
6) In case you are using Skype, Ripplex Address Book imports your Skype contacts automatically so that you can link with your Skype contacts on Ripplex network. To activate Skype, enter your "Skype Name" (A) and click "Next" (B). Your Skype information entered here will be stored only in your computer. Ripplex Inc. has no way to access any of your Skype information. If you are not using Skype, keep "Skype Name" empty and just click "Next".
7) In case you are using Twitter, Ripplex Address Book works as Twitter client. Please enter your Twitter's username and password, and click "Next". Your Twitter username and password entered here will be stored only in your computer. Ripplex Inc. has no way to access any of your Twitter information. If you are not using Twitter, keep the "Username" empty and just click "Next".
8) Your account is setup. Ripplex Address Book automatically imports the contact list from several most commonly used address books. Please review the list of address book carefully and select all the ones that you would like Ripplex to import contacts from (A) and then Click "Finish" (B).
