Merge Same Person’s Information During Import

During import you may encounter a person whose information you are importing is already in your Ripplex Address Book with some overlapping and some non overlapping information. Ripplex detects these cases and gives you several choices to handle the situation as shown below.

1) Please note that in this example, among other friends' information, you already have some information of Maria Lopez in your Ripplex Address Book.

2) Now information of three friends including Maria Lopez is being imported. The imported information of Maria includes two emails, one of which is already in Ripplex Address Book.

3) Ripplex gives you three choices for handling this case.

(A) Merge the new data being imported with already existing information of Maria Lopez in your Ripplex Address Book.

(B) Create a new profile. In this case, there will be two records with same or similar information.

(C) Skip, i.e. don't do anything with the data in the imported file associated with Maria Lopez.

4) In this case, the user selected to merge the information and therefore the result of the import shows that two new friends were added plus one friend's information was merged.

Note) Ripplex Address Book can detect the duplicate information only when there is some common information between the existing and imported data.
