Category Overview

To organize your friends, you may use Category feature of Ripplex Address Book. You can create and name categories whtatever you want. A friend can be in more than one category. The disclosure settings can be done per category making it convenient to set your disclosures for entire category rather than for friends on individual basis. Please see Disclose Information for more details regarding disclosure to categories.

List of categories is in the left pane of Icon View. By clicking the category, you get the list of friends who are in the selected category in the right pane of Icon View. There are three types of categories, Private, Shared and External service. In addition, Ripplex Address Book creates two categories automatically, (A) "All Friends" to show all of your friends across all categories in your Ripplex Address Book and (B) "Uncategorized" to show the friends not yet categorized in any other private category. Owner's information appears at the top of name in friends' list in all categories except "Uncategorized".
